These hybrids represent the changes and fusions that are created within us and in social structures when there exist situations of confrontation or diverse emotional states. This contrast emphasizes the idea of nature as protagonist. Traditionally, the still life is a passive representation of nature; the format is horizontal and the objects displayed are arranged to be observed. The body of work proposes nature as active; vertical figures in a suspended state of growth and change.
